Organ donor awareness-raising billboard campaign launches across Canada
Oct. 2, 2017, Victoria, BC, Canada – The David Foster Foundation has a new national partnership with OUTFRONT Media Canada and together have launched the first national digital billboard organ donor awareness campaign in Canada.
OUTFRONT Media Canada will provide space across 109 digital billboards in five cities to help raise awareness of the David Foster Foundation’s two goals – to encourage Canadians to register as organ donors, while increasing awareness about the need for donors, and to financially support the non-medical expenses of Canadian families undergoing pediatric organ transplants.
The digital billboard campaign is expected to generate 800,000 impressions per day in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. As the newest national partner of the David Foster Foundation, OUTFRONT Media Canada’s digital billboards will help connect people across Canada on a daily basis throughout the next year, generating 292 million impressions.
“More than 90 per cent of Canadians support organ donor registration, but less than 20 per cent of us are registered and this campaign hopes to change that,” says Michael Ravenhill, CEO of the David Foster Foundation. “For the past three decades, the David Foster Foundation has worked hard to raise the awareness of this cause and educate the public on the importance of becoming a registered organ donor. We are thrilled that OUTFRONT Media Canada has joined us in this effort.”
For the past 30 years, the David Foster Foundation has supported the non-medical expenses of Canadian families undergoing life-saving pediatric organ transplants. To date, they have supported more than 1,000 families across Canada.
