Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens, Toronto, ON – Sept. 26, 2015

June 29, 2015, Victoria, BC – Multiple Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and social activist Michael Bolton, and actor and comedian Sinbad, have joined the all-star group of performers that include Stevie Wonder, Peter Cetera, Kiesza and host David Foster for the David Foster Foundation Miracle Gala & Concert, Sept. 26, 2015 in Toronto.

Michael Bolton is a multiple Grammy Award-winning Singer, Songwriter and Social Activist, who has sold more than 55 million records worldwide. Bolton remains committed to humanitarian causes, especially through the Michael Bolton Charities, now in its 21st year. In recognition of his artistic achievements, Michael won two Grammys for Best Pop Male Vocal Performance (nominated four times), six American Music Awards, and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As a songwriter, he has earned over 24 BMI & ASCAP Awards, including Songwriter of the Year, nine Million-Air awards, and the Hitmakers Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Bolton has written with some of the greatest and most diverse talent of our time, including Bob Dylan, Paul Stanley, Lady Gaga, Diane Warren, Desmond Child, David Foster, Walter Afanasieff, and “Mutt” Lange. Bolton’s songs have been recorded by the likes of KISS, Marc Anthony, Barbra Streisand, Cher, Kanye West and Jay Z. Continuing to tour the world each year, Michael has performed with legacies such as Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Renee Fleming and BB King. Recently, Michael became a viral sensation in The Lonely Island’s Emmy nominated video, “Captain Jack Sparrow” that launched on Saturday Night Live and has racked up nearly 140 million views on YouTube.

Sinbad arrived on the comedy scene with a “hit’em in the face” style of comedy that has kept audiences laughing in the aisles for over the past two decades. Ranked by Comedy Central as one of the top 100 standup comedians of all time, Sinbad has built a loyal following by taking audiences’ painful trials or embarrassing tribulations of day-by-day life, throwing them back in their faces, and causing an uproar of comedic hysteria. He can also make it sound profound without being profane. Sinbad is internationally known for his starring appearances in hit movies like, “Jingle All the Way,” playing opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger; “Houseguest” co-starring the late Phil Hartman; and his film debut, “Necessary Roughness”.

“We are so excited to announce that Michael Bolton and Sinbad will be joining the incredible star studded list of entertainers for our sold out gala.” says Michael Ravenhill, CEO of the David Foster Foundation. “We are grateful to have Michael Bolton take time out of his busy touring schedule to support his good friend, David Foster and our foundation. Sinbad is a long-time supporter of the Foundation and has always delivered a room full of laughter to our gala audiences.”

The David Foster Foundation raised more than $8 million at last year’s event in Calgary, AB, which was presented by TELUS and in partnership with WestJet, both long-time national partners of the David Foster Foundation. The funds raised from the annual Miracle Gala & Concert go towards the Foundation’s 30 x 30 campaign, where they aim to raise $30M by their 30th anniversary in 2017.

Founded in 1986 by producer and musician David Foster, the namesake David Foster Foundation supports the non-medical expenses of Canadian families with children undergoing life-saving pediatric organ transplants. The annual Miracle Gala & Concert is built around a star-studded evening featuring Foster and a collection of his musically gifted friends. Last year’s Miracle Gala & Concert in Calgary, AB saw Foster joined by Steven Tyler, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Jennifer Hudson, Jackie Evancho, and David’s wife, Yolanda Foster along with the cast members of Bravo TV’s, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The much-needed funds provided to the David Foster Foundation help to cover non-medical families’ expenses, which range from travel, mortgage, rent, car payments groceries, and parking, and gas. The average cost to support one family for a year is $10,000, but total family support can reach upwards of $100,000. Often, families have to travel away from home and set up temporary housing close to one of the pediatric transplant hospitals in Canada. Since its inception, the Foundation has worked to assist 1,000 families across Canada.

The 2015 David Foster Foundation Miracle Gala & Concert is presented by TELUS in partnership with WestJet. Generous support for the event is also provided by Miracle Maker Sponsor, CIBC Children’s Foundation; Luxury Sponsor, Bedat & Co.; and Red Carpet Sponsors, Boston Pizza, Navacord, and the Slaight Family Foundation. Additional sponsors include: Official Hotel Sponsors, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and The Omni King Edward Hotel; Media Partners, The Globe & Mail, and Tartan Group; Graphic Design and Stationery, Palettera; and Digital Innovation Partner, Flybits.

David Foster Foundation Miracle Gala & Concert Tables for the event are sold out. However, more than 2,000 stadium tickets will be available for individual purchase through Ticketmaster starting July 4, 2015. For more information on how to purchase tickets, visit
