Aleea serves as the Director of Family Relations at the David Foster Foundation, where she has supported Canadian families through the pediatric transplant process since 2018. She leads the Foundation’s case management, coordinating critical financial support, emergency travel logistics, and ongoing care for families navigating the challenges of pediatric transplantation. Her approach is trauma-informed, highly relational, and built on years of experience working alongside hospital social workers, medical teams, and community stakeholders across Canada.
Aleea holds a degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and a certificate in Non-Profit Management from Simon Fraser University. Her career has focused on strategic program coordination and advocacy across diverse communities, with a passion for creating systems that truly serve people in their most vulnerable moments.
In addition to her direct work with families, Aleea has played a key role in how the Foundation communicates its impact — leading the development of thoughtful, sensitive storytelling that reflects the resilience of the families we support. She has also contributed to optimizing internal systems, identifying process improvements that make the Foundation’s work more responsive and efficient. Her ability to balance strategy with empathy has helped strengthen relationships with families, care teams, and community partners across Canada.
Outside of work, Aleea finds clarity and restoration in BC’s wild landscapes. Whether on multi-day backpacking trips, cycling remote roads, or kayaking the coastline, she draws energy from nature. She is proud to be part of a team committed to meeting families with compassion, and support at every step of the transplant journey.
