He pioneered service standards for British Columbia’s visitor information centers and played pivotal roles in large-scale international projects such as Loreto Bay in Baja California and Palm Creek Resort in Phoenix Arizona. Under his leadership, the foundation has raised over $100 million, significantly expanding its valuable work of providing financial assistance for all non medical expenses to children and families who are going through a life saving organ transplant. Recognized for his leadership and service, Michael was appointed Honorary Colonel of the Canadian Armed Forces 410 Tactical Fighter Squadron in 2019, in 2021 he was asked to sit on the Maricopa County Sheriffs Advisory Counsel and In 2023, Michael was honored with the Andrea Bocelli International Humanitarian Award at the Royal Palace in Naples, Italy — in 2025 Michael was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal recognizing those who have made a considerable contribution to Canada and their home province, that same year he also received the Simon Keith Foundation International Humanitarian Award - a testament to his compassionate leadership and humanitarian efforts.
